What shipped.

New in Lensdrop, as it lands.

  1. Edit your gallery the way your client sees it

Open any gallery and choose Edit gallery. Change the cover, name, date, venue and description right on the page your client sees, and your studio details too. Drag photos into the order you want, or sort by capture time in one click, and drop them into sections. Shift-click selects a range, deletes come with an undo, and you can add photos without leaving. Everything saves as you go.

  2. The desktop app sends videos too

Version 0.3.4 picks up the MP4, MOV and M4V files in the folder you send, alongside the photos, and auto-upload watches for them at live events as well. A video shows its first frame in the grid, opens in your system player for a look, and goes up in bigger parts so a long film is not thousands of small requests. It updates itself.

  3. Deliver the video with the photos

Drop an MP4, MOV or M4V into any gallery. It plays above the photos in Lensdrop's own player, downloads with the same PIN, and is delivered exactly as you exported it, never re-encoded. Star one to feature it and the gallery header offers it first. A video counts toward the gallery's size like a photo: no video plan, no per-minute charge, nothing extra to buy.

    How video delivery works
  4. The desktop app, rebuilt around one send

Version 0.3.0 does one thing well: choose a folder of finished photos, leave out anything that should not go, press Send. It skips what the gallery already has, keeps going while you edit, and opens the gallery when it is done. Culling moved to the gallery on the web, so the app stays small. Auto-upload for live events is still there, and the app updates itself.

  5. A site you can read in a minute

The homepage is a photograph, a feature showcase you can click through on a real gallery, the price, and a close. Example galleries you can open as a client would, a Features page that lists everything a gallery does, and use-case pages cut to the three reasons that matter for each niche. In the client viewer, section filters are now pills beside the section name.

  6. Lensdrop on your phone, properly

Install Lensdrop to your home screen and it now launches like an app, not a browser tab. The notification inbox became a bottom drawer on phones, and a push notice lands the moment your first highlight reel finishes rendering.

  7. Uploads that survive a locked phone

Half of all shoots upload from a phone, so uploads now survive locked screens, page reloads, and network changes. Anything that still dies mid-flight is named in the gallery so you can retry exactly those photos. Web push joined email and the inbox as a notification channel.

  8. Activity and the live QR

Every gallery grew an Activity tab: who opened it, when, how many people downloaded, and a world map of where it was seen. Counts are real people, not page loads. The live event QR can be downloaded and put on a screen.

  9. Pay when you share, not before

Galleries create and upload instantly, and the price is set from what you actually stored at the moment you share, so there is nothing to size up front. Named sections arrived too: put the ceremony before the reception, and let viewers filter by section.

  10. Cameras connect dependably

Sending straight from a camera over Wi-Fi FTP was reworked end to end: both FTP dialects, explicit TLS, and a weekly synthetic upload that tells us the moment anything breaks. Point a Sony, Canon, Nikon or Fujifilm body at a gallery and shots just land, no laptop on site.

    How camera FTP works
  11. The desktop app learns to cull

Version 0.2.0 turns the desktop uploader into a keyboard-first culling app. On-device AI flags soft frames, closed eyes, and near-duplicates, you rip through on the keys you know from Lightroom, and only the keepers upload. Free with every account, and it updates itself.

  12. The homepage became the product

The landing page now runs the real client gallery viewer on sample photos, right in your browser. Drop your own photos in, open the lightbox, download a real zip, and see exactly what your clients will see before you sign up.
